    Libya - Continuing a trend that started in late 2016, the number of Libyans displaced throughout the country has been steadily declining, as people return to areas from where they were displaced, particularly in the regions of Benghazi and Sirt.

    Libya - On 25 April, IOM, the UN Migration Agency helped 253 stranded Nigerian migrants – 148 women and 105 men – return home to Nigeria from Libya. The group included six children, five infants and two medical cases. Most of the migrants (235) had been detained in Trig al Seka and Abu Slim detention centres in Tripoli, with the remainder living in urban areas.

    Libya - IOM Libya’s latest Displacement Tracking Matrix Mobility Tracking report shows that there are 294,436 IDP individuals residing in 89 baladiyas (municipalities) across the country and 196,852 individuals who have returned to their homes across 30 baladiyas.

    Libya - On Tuesday, 4 April, IOM helped 170 stranded Gambian migrants – 158 men and 12 women – return home to Gambia from Libya. There were also 11 children and two infants among the 170 migrants, including six unaccompanied male minors who were also on board the flight.
